Introducing Heather Cameron Hall — the fourth woman to lead Womanswork into its next 40 years.
I have a confession: the moment I first held a pair of Womanswork gloves, I understood immediately what made them different. The fit. The thought behind every stitch. The simple, radical idea that women's hands deserve tools designed for women — not just scaled-down versions of what men use. That feeling has never left me, and today, I am beyond thrilled to share that on May 5th, 2026, I officially became the new owner and President of Womanswork.
This is not just a business milestone for me — it is deeply personal. I am the fourth woman to lead this beloved brand in its four-decade history, and I could not be more proud to carry that tradition forward.
Rooted in the garden — and the craft
I grew up in the East Sussex countryside near the South Downs in the UK — rolling hills, open farmland, and a family where gardening wasn't a hobby, it was a way of life. Multiple generations of my family passed down a love of the soil, the seasons, and the quiet power of tending something living. That upbringing never left me.
"Open farmland near my home in East Sussex — the landscape that shaped me."
After studying Clothing Technology at the London College of Fashion, I spent over 25 years working as a glove specialist across the outdoor industry — collaborating with leading brands in the USA, UK, and Europe. That foundation in the technical side of construction, materials, and fit is at the heart of everything I bring to Womanswork. I like to think I came to this role with both my heart and my hands already in the right place.
What's coming — and what's staying
Let me be clear: the classic styles you love are not going anywhere. The fit, the quality, the thoughtfulness that has made Womanswork a staple in gardens across the country — that is the foundation everything else is built on.
But I am also bringing fresh eyes and genuine excitement for what comes next. Expect new fabric designs, elevated comfort and fit, deeper hands-on collaboration with our factory partners, and a stronger commitment to sustainable practices throughout everything we do. My goal is simple: every pair of gloves should make a woman feel not just equipped, but celebrated.
I am especially passionate about creating gloves that truly fit a woman's hand — performance gear built specifically for women rather than simply resized men's products. Exceptional fit, comfort, durability, and beauty: that is the standard.
Community is at the core
Womanswork has always stood for something bigger than gloves, and I intend to deepen that commitment. We are proud members of 1% for the Planet. We also actively support organizations doing extraordinary work: Let's Go Compost, Beyond Plastics, Amber Waves Farm, Positive Change for Marine Life, City Farm SLO, and the International Year of the Woman Farmer, to name but a few.
From regenerative agriculture to ocean conservation to urban food education — these organizations represent the women and communities at the heart of what Womanswork stands for. I will use every platform this brand has to lift them up.
A note of gratitude
To the customers, partners, and community who have supported Womanswork for four decades — thank you. You are why this brand matters. Whether you have been with us for twenty years or are just discovering us today, welcome. The best chapters are still ahead.
"My vision for Womanswork is rooted in innovation, authenticity, sustainability, and community — celebrating the women who garden, farm, build, create, and care for the earth every single day."
With so much gratitude and excitement,
Heather Cameron Hall
President, Womanswork · May 2026
P.S. We have also moved from Pawling, NY, to our new home in New Milford, CT - a new address for a new chapter!
