A few years ago, Womanswork made a commitment rooted in both responsibility and hope.


On July 1, 2023, we pledged to donate 1% of our gross sales — in perpetuity — through our membership with 1% for the Planet, a global network that accelerates environmental giving.

Today, two and a half years in, we’re proud to share this progress update — and to reaffirm that our commitment is strong and ongoing.

At Womanswork, our mission has always been clear: to empower women who are bettering our planet and helping her people. Whether through environmental stewardship, food systems work, land conservation, the trades, or community leadership, we believe women are essential to building a more just and sustainable future.

Joining 1% for the Planet was one important step in aligning our business practices with that mission. A few years in, we can confidently say this commitment has strengthened our impact and deepened our accountability.

Every Womanswork purchase continues to do more than provide durable, thoughtfully designed gear. It fuels environmental solutions and supports the larger movement of women leading change.
