To Our Customers,

A few years ago, Womanswork made a commitment rooted in both responsibility and hope.

On July 1, 2023, we pledged to donate 1% of our gross sales — in perpetuity — through our membership with 1% for the Planet, a global network that accelerates environmental giving.

Today, we're proud to share where that commitment is actively at work — and to reaffirm that it is stronger than ever.

Because of your continued support, we are currently donating to and working with four exceptional organizations creating meaningful environmental and community impact:

Beyond Plastics Based at Bennington College in Vermont, Beyond Plastics is a nationwide movement working to end plastic pollution everywhere. Founded by former EPA Regional Administrator Judith Enck, the organization pairs deep policy expertise with grassroots advocacy to drive the institutional, corporate, and legislative changes our planet urgently needs. beyondplastics.org

Amber Waves Farm A nonprofit educational farm on nearly 30 acres in Amagansett, New York, Amber Waves Farm is led by co-founders Amanda Merrow and Katie Baldwin — two women who met as farming apprentices and built something extraordinary together. Their mission: to produce organic food for their local community, train the next generation of farmers, and connect people of all ages to the land and the food they eat. We're proud to support a woman-led farm that has been in women's hands since the 1950s. amberwavesfarm.org

Let's Go Compost A national nonprofit founded by Gen-Z environmental leader Lauren Click, Let's Go Compost is on a mission to make composting free and accessible to everyone in the United States, regardless of location or income. Through free compost bins, a STEAM classroom composting curriculum, and community partnerships, they're tackling food waste at the source — reducing methane emissions, improving soil health, and building a circular economy from the ground up. letsgocompost.org

Positive Change for Marine Life (PCFML) An Australian-based nonprofit working across Australia, India, the Solomon Islands, and the USA, PCFML is dedicated to the preservation and restoration of marine ecosystems. Their work spans coastal rewilding, marine debris reduction, sustainable fisheries, and community-led conservation — addressing 14 of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Their mission: to create sustainable solutions for ocean conservation so that both marine life and the communities that depend on it can thrive. pcfml.org.au

At Womanswork, our mission has always been clear: to empower women who are bettering our planet and helping her people. Whether through environmental stewardship, food systems work, land conservation, ocean health, or community leadership, we believe women are essential to building a more just and sustainable future.

Joining 1% for the Planet was one important step in aligning our business practices with that mission. Every Womanswork purchase continues to do more than provide durable, thoughtfully designed gear — it fuels environmental solutions and supports the larger movement of women and communities leading change.

We remain committed — not just in words, but in action — to being a company that lives its values.

Thank you for growing with us and for being part of this ongoing work.

With gratitude, Heather Cameron Hall President, Womanswork
